Contact C was first given to me as a nickname when I worked as an exhibits assistant. There is a glue called Contact Cement, that we had to use constantly for certain applications. As I was unfamiliar at the time with its nature, that after both sides dried, “the stick” was instantaneous and I found it fascinating. So much that I would volunteer to do those “contact cement” jobs just to see things “stick”. Eventually, they called me contact c. As curator, I like to think that I make things stick and that I am partially a glue to bring artists together.
